This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We have written it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
1. Who we are
This website is owned and operated by PWDP Ltd, trading as Property Web Design PRO. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean PWDP Ltd.
We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09618765, VAT registration number GB301815540. Our registered office and principal place of business is The Brambles, White Gritt, Minsterley, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY5 0JL.
For the personal information described in this notice, PWDP Ltd is the data controller. You can reach us by email at info@pwdp.co.uk, by telephone on 020 3637 9838 or 01743 387 388, or by post at the address above.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, under registration reference ZA273527. You can check our entry on the ICO's public register.
2. What this notice covers
This notice covers the personal information we collect through this website, when you contact us, and when you buy services from us. It does not cover the websites we build and host for our clients. Where we handle personal information on behalf of a client, we act as their processor, which is explained in section 6.
3. The information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete a form on this site, request a free site review, or contact us by phone or email, we collect the details you provide. Typically that is your name, the name of your agency, your telephone number, your email address, your website address, and whatever you write in the message box.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit this website we record technical information about the visit, including your IP address, approximate location derived from it, the type of device and browser you are using, the pages you view and how you arrived. Most of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, which are explained in our Cookies Policy.
Information from other sources
If you are a client, we may receive information about you from the services we use to run our business, such as our accounting or payment providers.
4. How we use your information, and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your personal information. Ours are as follows.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@pwdp.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
5. Marketing
We will only send you marketing by email where you have agreed to it, or where you are an existing client and the message is about services similar to those you already buy from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by replying or emailing us. We do not sell your details to anyone.
6. When we act for our clients
We design, build and host websites for estate and letting agents, and we operate software that moves property data between those websites, agents' CRM systems and the major portals. In doing that, we handle personal information about our clients' own customers, such as buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and applicants.
For that information, our client is the data controller and we act as their data processor. We only use it on their documented instructions and we do not use it for our own purposes. The processor terms required by Article 28 of the UK GDPR are written into section 16 of our Terms and Conditions, which forms part of every client contract. If you are a buyer, seller, landlord or tenant and you want to know how your information is used, please contact the agent whose website you used.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except as set out here. We use a small number of trusted suppliers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions. These include:
- our website hosting and email providers
- Meta and Google Ads, when we are running an advertising campaign, and then only if you have accepted advertising cookies. We are not running any at present. If you have not accepted, their code never loads and they receive nothing about you
- Google, for reCAPTCHA, which protects our enquiry forms from automated spam. When you use a form on this site, Google receives your IP address and information about how you interacted with the page in order to judge whether you are a person or a script. Google's privacy policy and terms apply to that processing
- our accountants, and our payment providers GoCardless for direct debits, takepayments with Barclaycard for card payments, and occasionally Stripe, for invoicing and taking payment
- Anthropic and Voyage AI, whose AI services power the assistant and search on this site. Our assistant is our own, not a third-party chat widget, and questions are sent through our own server. We do not send them your name or contact details, and the AI providers do not use them to train their models. We keep an anonymous record of the questions asked, with no IP address or anything else that identifies who asked, purely so we can improve the answers. Please do not type personal information into the assistant; if any appears in a question, it is not linked to you and is deleted when noticed.
We do not use Google Analytics. Our visitor statistics come from our own software on our own server in the United Kingdom, which sets no cookies and shares nothing with anyone else.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a regulator or in response to a valid court order, and where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If our business is sold or restructured, information may be passed to the buyer under the same protections.
8. Where your information is stored
Our websites and email are hosted in the United Kingdom. Some of our suppliers, such as Google, process information outside the UK. Where information is transferred out of the UK, we rely on the UK Government's adequacy regulations for the receiving country, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
9. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it.
- Enquiries that do not become work. Up to two years from your last contact, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.
- Client records and correspondence. For the life of the contract and six years afterwards, to deal with any claim or query.
- Accounting records. Six years after the end of the relevant financial year, as tax law requires.
- Website statistics. Twenty-five months, on our own server, in a form that does not identify you.
10. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the following rights over your personal information. They are free to exercise.
- Access. To be told whether we hold information about you, and to receive a copy of it.
- Rectification. To have inaccurate information corrected and incomplete information completed.
- Erasure. To have your information deleted where we no longer have a good reason to keep it.
- Restriction. To ask us to pause our use of your information while a concern is resolved.
- Portability. To receive information you gave us in a common electronic format, or have it sent to another provider.
- Objection. To object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time.
- Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it at any time.
- Automated decisions. Not to be subject to a decision made solely by automated means that has a legal or similarly significant effect. We do not make decisions of that kind.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@pwdp.co.uk. We will respond within one month. We may ask you for proof of identity first, so that we do not release your information to somebody else.
11. Cookies
We use cookies on this website. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are only set once you have agreed to them, and you can change your mind at any time. Our Cookies Policy explains what each one does and how to control them.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypting traffic to and from this website with TLS, restricting access to the people who need it, and keeping our systems patched. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take our obligations seriously and we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office promptly if a breach is likely to affect you.
13. Children
Our services are sold to businesses. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first at info@pwdp.co.uk so that we have the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at any time. You can do that at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling their helpline on 0303 123 1113. Complaining to us first does not affect that right.
15. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you.
