Where it started

Not every agency needs a portal. Taaksvale do not advertise properties to tenants in the way a high street agent does; they take a property off a landlord's hands and pay a fixed monthly rent for one to five years.

The old site had been built as though they were a letting agent like any other, so the search bar took the space that the promise should have had, and a landlord arriving from an advert had to work out what was actually on offer.

What we built

A short site that does one job properly. The promise is the headline, the terms are set out plainly underneath, and what a landlord gives up in exchange is said rather than buried.

The services page lists what is included line by line: fixed monthly payments whether or not the property is occupied, tenant sourcing and management, maintenance, compliance certificates renewed automatically, and regular inspections.

The questions people would otherwise ring to ask are answered on the site. How the scheme works, the minimum term, whether the guaranteed rent is below market, what happens if a tenant damages the property, how to end a contract early.

The look

Deep purple against near black, with the brand colour carried the whole way through rather than desaturated for taste. It reads as a financial proposition rather than a lettings shopfront, which is what it is.

Light and dark mode both built, so the site respects whatever the visitor's phone is set to instead of blinding them at eleven at night.
